Photograph: Adrià GoulaThe sports park is conceived as a hub for physical activity, an intergenerational meeting point, thanks to the three spaces that make up the sports park: the sliding area, the calisthenics park and the petanque area. The green area naturalizes and creates new living areas. The project fits the park into its immediate urban and natural environment.
The central sports facility is the new skatepark. The design prioritizes landscape integration, with elements of little visual impact. It consists of elements for different types and levels of difficulty for skaters, online skaters, bikers, and scooter riders.
The calisthenics park is located between the two rest areas, in an area with natural grassland marked by perimeter paths.
The petanque area is in the west of the park, integrated into the space with mulberry tree plantations and furniture that facilitates rest and observation of the game.
The project creates a new public park, with spaces for interaction, sports and rest, which will energize the western area of the city, creating a meeting place between citizens and nature.
