scob architecture and landscape

  • Projecte: Sergi Carulla & Jordi Miralles (S.T. Ajuntament)
    Superfície: 20.421 m2
Promotor: Vilanova i la Geltrú's City Council
    Fotografia: Santi Garcés

The project is part of two consolidated areas of the central waterfront of the city. The former space intended for roads becomes promenade, while the space designated for a ground level parking area is converted into a road, thus recovering the space for pedestrians. The pavement is processed basically with two materials of natural stone that differentiate walkways, from the terraces and restaurants areas, with the simultaneous use of wood for the resting areas. Between promenade and road a green parterre is created, that collects the exterior line of palm trees and gives colour, variety and relief to the whole.
