The Elastic Properties of Landscape is a collection of short stories written by Oscar Blasco. Landscape is present in each and every story -a landscape which is closer to innocence, madness or magic than to environmental science or pictorial nature.
The book describes the transformation of spots into landscapes through our own eyes. In the first section, "Notes From Nature", landscapes appear between experience and remembrance. In the second section, "Daydreams", reality transforms itself, encouraged by the whims of imagination. In the third section, "Stories", the author gives way to a cast of characters who conclude the book with ingenuity and good humour, a book in which we may be discovering a new theory about landscape.
